E-Reserves – a CSU Success Story: Universal Design, Copyright, and Fair Use
Professional Development Institute (PDI)
Abstract
Learn how E-Reserves are made on campus, and about the many benefits our students experience because of a new process. E-Reserve documents are an ever present aspect of student learning at CSU. Responsibility for the development of these important course materials transferred to the Inter-Library Loan department in the summer of 2009. With this change came an entirely new approach to creating PDF based documents. Not only do E-Reserve documents follow current law regarding Copyright and Fair Use, they are accessible to students with disabilities and Universally Designed to enable search, copy and paste, reflow, and text-to-speech.
